The Rector-Commander of the Academy of Justice announces proceedings to recruit persons for the tasks of an expert team for the analysis of the current situation in Ukraine and its impact on the European security architecture and the future of Ukraine in the Euro-Atlantic structures, at the Centre for European Policy Research for the period from October 2024 to September 2025.
Task mode: civil-law contract.
The subject of the performed tasks of the expert of the team for the analysis of the current situation in Ukraine and its impact on the European security architecture and the future of Ukraine in the Euro-Atlantic structures will be:
- systematic participation in webinars and other meetings of the CBPE team;
- drafting interim reports on the topics of the project work;
- preparation of a monograph in Polish, Ukrainian and English summarizing the work of the team;
- queries of materials and sources necessary for the work of the team;
- systematic collection of information, knowledge and analyses concerning the current situation in Ukraine.
The offer to carry out these tasks should include:
- an application to the Rector-Commander for a civil law contract;
- a curriculum vitae within information on the competences possessed with regard to the subject matter of the tasks to be performed;
- copies of documents confirming your competences;
- a statement of having read the information clause concerning the protection of personal data referred to under INFORMATION ON PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA.
Candidate selection ccriteria:
- academic or scientific researcher of a research institute or University in Poland or Ukraine;
- knowledge of Ukrainian and English, knowledge of Polish desirable;
- ability to search effectively for information and to critically analyse its reliability;
- ability to organize work well;
- ability to work in team.
Deadline and place of submitting documents:
The interested person should submit the required documents – drawn up in Polish or in English – to the headquarters of the Academy of Justice in Warsaw, 9 Karmelicka Street, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., or by mail, or by e-mail to sekretariat@aws.edu.pl, by 13 September 2024 (the date of receipt of the documents to AWS will be taken into account) within the note ‘Centre for European Policy Research – expert of the team for the analysis of the current situation in Ukraine’.
Only complete applications in either Polish or English will be considered (documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered).
Please note that only selected candidates will be contacted. Failure to inform a candidate of the results of the competition will be tantamount to rejecting their application. We will not return the documents submitted.
Information on the protection of personal data
Pursuant to Article 13(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as GDPR, we inform you that:
- The controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the GDPR is the Academy of Justice with its registered office at 50 Wiśniowa Street, 02-520 Warsaw.
- The administrator can be contacted in writing at the address of its registered office or electronically at the address of sekretariat@aws.edu.pl.
- The Controller has appointed a data protection officer with whom you can contact in matters related to data processing, in the following way:
- e-mail: iod@aws.edu.pl,
- in writing to the address of the administrator's registered office.
- Personal data will be processed in order to recruit for a vacant position.
- The legal basis for data processing is:
a) Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (processing is necessary to take action at the request of the data subject prior to the conclusion of the contract) in connection with the relevant provisions of the Act of 26 June 1974 – the Labour Code, the Act of 9 April 2010 on the Prison Service, the Act of 20 July 2018 – the Law on Higher Education and Science and the executive acts issued on their basis,
b) Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR – consent of the data subject to the extent exceeding the provisions of law referred to in point 5(a) and in the event of expressing interest in participating in subsequent recruitment processes,
c) Article 9(2)(h) of the GDPR (processing is necessary to assess the employee's ability to work) in connection with the relevant provisions of the Act of 9 April 2010 on the Prison Service and executive acts issued on its basis,
d) Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR – if the application documents contain special data referred to in Article 9(1) of the GDPR to the extent exceeding the grounds referred to in point 5(c), the explicit consent of the data subject will be necessary for their processing.
- Personal data will be stored for a period not longer than it is necessary to achieve the purpose, which is to conduct the recruitment process for a vacant position, as well as (to the necessary extent) for the period of pursuing rights or claims. If you consent to the use of your personal data for the purposes of future recruitment, the data will be used for a period of 1 year.
- The person whose data is processed has the right to:
1) access to the content of their personal data on the terms set out in Article 15 of the GDPR;
2) rectify the data, on the terms set out in Article 16 of the GDPR, subject to point 8;
3) request the deletion of data, on the terms set out in Article 17 of the GDPR;
4) restriction of data processing, in the cases specified in Article 18 of the GDPR;
5) withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal, if the basis for the processing is the consent of the data subject;
6) transfer data, on the terms set out in Article 20 of the GDPR;
7) lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
- The processing of data in connection with the performance of the tasks referred to in Article 2 of the Act of 9 April 2010 on the Prison Service and the tasks resulting from separate acts is entitled to the processing of personal data and information about candidates for service in the Prison Service, employees and officers – to the extent necessary for the implementation of the qualification procedure and the employment relationship and service in the Prison Service, and takes place without the application of Article 16 of the GDPR the right to rectify data to the extent that special provisions provide for a separate rectification procedure.
- Based on the personal data provided, the Controller will not make automated decisions against the data subject, including decisions resulting from profiling.
- Providing personal data to the extent resulting from the applicable provisions of law (the Act of 26 June 1974 on the Labour Code and of 9 April 2010 on the Prison Service) is a statutory requirement, mandatory and necessary to carry out the recruitment process. Providing other personal data is voluntary and requires consent to their processing.
